Welcome to the website of the Mu Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.  This chapter was chartered at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Thursday, April 15, 1976 at 12:17 AM EST.

For more than 40 years, the Mu Zeta Chapter has set the bar for Greek excellence at UNC, upholding the aims of Alpha: manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind.  At the end of the 2015-2016 school year, the Mu Zeta Chapter received honors such as NPHC Fraternity of the Year, NPHC Most Campus Involvement, the Service Outreach Award, and several others.  Several high-achieving brothers received various awards throughout the year, including NPHC Outstanding Greek Leader Award, induction into the Order of the Golden Fleece, and others.

OUR MISSION

 

“ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INC. DEVELOPS LEADERS, PROMOTES BROTHERHOOD AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, WHILE PROVIDING SERVICE AND ADVOCACY FOR OUR COMMUNITIES.”

 

The objectives of this fraternity shall be: to stimulate the ambition of its members; to prepare them for the greatest usefulness in the causes of humanity, freedom, and dignity of the individual; to encourage the highest and noblest form of manhood; and to aid downtrodden humanity in its efforts to achieve higher social, economic and intellectual status.
